new release: Arrange – Plantation

Arrange is the solo project of Malcom Lacey, who is based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Combining muted percussion, soft chimes and swirling, silvery vocals, the sonic structures Arrange moulds and forms creates an ambiance into which the listener can project their own interpretations and experiences, but is equally capable of providing its own context when it is prudent to do so. Following a string of self-released creations in quick succession, Plantations will be ready for digital download on May 17th, via the artist’s bandcamp. The first single, “Turnpike”, which you can stream below, is vaguely evocative of the Perfume Genius album of last year, and also one or two other things I can’t quite place my finger on. Give it a listen and decide for yourself.
