Danish post-punk outfit IceAge recently came to our attention upon the release of their debut album, New Brigade, in January. They combine obvious influences from The Cure and Joy Division but what sets them apart is the abrasive, offensive manner in which they deliver their art. Expect to hear much more from them in times to come.
Fans of Arcade Fire would be well advised to give rising band Typhoon a listen. Their particular brand of multi-instrumental indie rock will be channeled into their new EP, A New Kind of House, due out March 15th.
Puro Instinct are a female duo, members of quietly expanding record label Mexican Summer. Their new album, Headbangers in Ecstasy, is expected to be released in March of this year.
Oh yeah, and Radiohead will release their eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, this coming Saturday. This flippin’ Saturday.
